| At Dixie Land Horse Rescue , we are dedicated to saving horses young , and old. All situations such as abuse, starvation, neglect,abandonment, those with health problems, and slaughter; and whom the owners can no longer take care of there horses. When a horse comes to the rescue it is seen by a veterinarian; evaluated, and on it's way to a better life, some of the horses require rehab libation , training, lot's of love and patience of course, Once the rescue feels that the horse is recovered from it's ordeal ;which ever that may be. The equine is than put up for adoption, (fees vary from horse to horse). The adoptive home has to be approved by the rescue. There is a back ground check on the adopt tee and the family members, also and inspection of the home . For more details please feel free to e mail us with any questions you may have. |
